Getting photos off the device

For every plan.

On this page

Every photo the booth takes is saved on the device straight away, as an ordinary JPEG in its photo library. Nothing leaves the device unless you use ZeroCapture Cloud.

Where the photos are

Photos are in the device's Pictures/Photo Booth folder, named like Booth_20261005_213012_345.jpg. The folder is your Album name and the start of each name is your File name prefix, both in Media output on Personal and above. If you changed them, look for your own names.

Boomerangs and videos are saved in the same folder as MP4 files, and each boomerang's animated GIF sits beside it with the same name. GIFs saved beside photos by older versions of the app stay where they are.

Copying them

  • USB cable to a computer: connect the device, choose File transfer on the device, then open Internal storage > Pictures > Photo Booth on the computer.
  • Samsung Gallery or Google Photos: the album shows there too, so you can select everything and share it, or back it up to your own cloud account.
  • USB stick or SD card: use the device's My Files app to copy the folder across.

Keeping events apart

Make a new event for each party in Events and make it current. New photos join it, so each event's photos stay together in admin > Photos, where you can filter by event. On Free you have one event, so rename it for each party.

Clearing space for the next event

Copy the photos off first. Deleting in the booth removes them from the device's gallery apps too.

  1. Open admin > Photos.
  2. Pick an event to show just its photos, or show them all.
  3. Tap photos to select them, or tap Select all. A bar at the bottom says how many are selected.
  4. Tap Delete and confirm.

The same bar has Add to event… and Remove from event for moving photos between events, and Edit when one photo is selected. Creating or deleting an event never deletes photos.

If you change the Album name, older photos stay in the old folder. You still see them in Samsung Gallery, but not in the booth's own gallery.

With ZeroCapture Cloud

With ZeroCapture Cloud, photos also upload to your account and stay online for 90 days. In Events, an event's Cloud panel has Download all photos (zip): when the zip is ready, save it on the device or copy a private link to it, which works for 24 hours, to open on a computer. Cloud never deletes or changes the photos on your device.

Before the device goes back in its box

  • Copy off every event's photos.
  • Delete what you no longer need, so the next event starts with plenty of storage.
  • Keep the device charged and updated between events (see Updates).
