Media output sets how saved photos, videos and boomerangs look, and where photos are kept on this device.
Photo
- Photo resolution: Maximum (full camera resolution, up to 6000 px), High, Balanced or Standard. Free saves at Balanced or Standard; the larger sizes show a padlock.
- JPEG quality: 70 to 100, 95 by default. Free is fixed at 80.
- Mirror front-camera photos: on, photos are saved as guests see themselves. Turn it off if there's text in the scene that must read the right way round.
Logo watermark
With White label, turn on Stamp the logo on every photo. It uses the logo from White label. Tap a corner of the preview to move it, then set Size and Opacity.
Caption
Write the caption and set the date on the event, in Events. Here you choose what's printed:
- Show event caption prints the current event's caption.
- Add the event date to the caption uses the event's date, or the day the photo is taken.
- Date position: Before caption or After caption.
The line underneath shows exactly what photos will read, with any placeholders filled in. Captions need Personal or White label.
On White label you can also style it:
- Caption font: your look's display font, or any built-in font. Import your own font in Branding.
- Caption size: Small, Medium or Large.
- Caption colour: Automatic (a brand colour that reads on the border), Accent, Black or White. A caption printed over the photo itself, with no border, is always white.
Files
Album name is the folder in Pictures, Photo Booth by default. File name prefix starts each file name, Booth by default. Changing them needs Personal or White label. Older photos stay in the old folder if you rename the album.
Video
- Resolution: 720p, 1080p or 4K, only the sizes this device can record. 1080p by default. The line under it shows the file size to expect.
- Frame rate: 24, 30 or 60 fps where the device can. 30 fps by default.
- Length: 3, 5 or 10 seconds, or Unlimited. 5 seconds by default. Unlimited asks first; a video then stops when someone taps Stop or presses the remote, or at 10 minutes.
- Record sound: records the microphone. It asks for microphone access when you turn it on. Off by default.
- Music: a track played over videos at half volume, with Play to preview it. Needs Personal or White label.
Boomerang
Resolution (720p or 1080p), Frame rate and Length (1, 2 or 3 seconds; 2 by default).
Save boomerangs as a GIF too: each boomerang is also saved as a looping GIF beside it, sized for messaging apps. Guests get it with Save GIF on their QR code page, and Share sends both. On by default. Photos don't get GIFs.
Tips
- Use Maximum for prints and Standard for quick sharing.
- 4K videos are large. Check free space before a long event.
