Remote lets you choose what each button on the Bluetooth remote does, and test it. The remote is paired in the device's Bluetooth settings, not in the app. See Pairing the remote.
Connection
The top of the section shows Remote connected: with the remote's name, or No remote connected. Pair it in the device's Bluetooth settings, then press a button.
Buttons
By default every common shutter button takes a photo, and the section says Using the defaults: every common shutter button takes a photo. Most remotes need no changes.
To give a button another job:
- Tap Add a button.
- When you see Press the button now…, press it on the remote. You have 10 seconds; Back or Escape cancels.
- Choose what it does: Take photo, Open gallery, Switch camera, Back to booth, Play a smile sound, Retake, Discard or Nothing.
Once you add a button, only the listed buttons are used. Every other button works as normal on the device. Reset to defaults goes back to the defaults.
Retake and Discard only work on the result screen, while Retake and Discard is on in Timing & wording. Play a smile sound plays a sound without starting a photo; choose the sounds in Sounds.
If no button takes a photo, the section warns No button takes a photo. Guests will need the on-screen shutter.
Assigning buttons needs Personal or White label. On Free every default button takes a photo.
Try your remote
Press any button to see its name, whether it was Pressed or Released, and what it does In the booth. While this section is open, presses only show here, so testing never takes a photo. Back still leaves admin.
Tips
- If a button shows Not assigned, add it or tap Reset to defaults.
- Remote presses never act on admin.
- If nothing shows when you press, check the remote's battery and pairing.
