Camera

For every plan.

On this page

Camera sets how the device's camera takes the picture, and how guests look after the background is removed. Set it with the green screen lit as it will be for the event. You only see the controls your camera supports.

Source

What the camera sees. These change the green screen key too, so set them before you key the Green screen.

  • Front camera or Back camera shows which camera you are setting. Switch camera sets up the other one. Each has its own zoom and focus.
  • Zoom (1× by default): drag the slider, or pinch the preview. Below 1× the booth uses the wide-angle lens, which is good for groups. Double-tap the preview for 1×.
  • Brightness (0 by default): makes the picture lighter or darker, for the preview and the photo.
  • Lock exposure and colour (off by default): stops the picture changing as people in dark or bright clothes step in, so the key stays steady. Turn it on with the green screen empty, or with someone standing where guests will. Tap Measure again if the lighting changes.
  • Expose for faces (off by default): sets exposure for the faces it sees, so guests aren't dark against a bright screen. Not while exposure is locked.
  • Focus, on a camera with autofocus: tap the preview where guests will stand to hold focus there. Auto focus goes back to focusing by itself.
  • Auto framing, where the camera offers it: the camera follows and frames the people in view. Zoom is off while it's on.

Reset source to defaults puts all of these back. It doesn't touch the key or the output.

Output

The guests after the key, in the preview and the photo. The key and the backdrop don't change. Use it for a moodier look, or a colour cast to suit the backdrop.

  • Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, Warmth (bluer or more amber) and Tint (greener or more magenta), all 0 by default.
  • Presets (Personal and White label) set all five in one tap: Greyscale, Noir, Moody, Vivid, Warm, Cool, Vintage and Green cast. Move the sliders afterwards to fine-tune.
  • Show on the preview: turn it off to compare with the camera as it is. Photos always use the output, and it turns back on when you leave.

Reset output to defaults sets them all back to 0.

Tips

  • Sliders save when you lift your finger.
  • The same controls are on the booth under quick settings, behind the admin PIN. See Quick settings.
