Messages lets guests get their photo by email or SMS. Guests ask on the page their QR code opens, on their own phone, or with the SMS and Email buttons on the booth. Sending needs White label. The section only appears once messaging is live in your version of the app.
SMS credits
SMS are paid with credits held by your free ZeroCapture account. They never expire. Tap Sign in if this device isn't signed in.
- The balance shows with when it was last checked. Check fetches it again.
- Buy credits opens the Store's SMS credits tab.
- Warn me below: the low-credit warning here and on the Dashboard. 20 credits by default.
SMS
- Send SMS to guests: guests see "Get this photo by SMS" while you have credits and this device is signed in. Off by default.
- SMS message: starts with "Your photo is ready! Tap to see it and save it: {link}". It must keep {link}. Use the default puts it back.
- Sender name: 3 to 11 letters and digits. Blank uses the business name set under Email, else ZeroCapture.
- Default country for phone numbers: the country the phone page starts with. Change picks another.
- Preview shows the SMS as it will arrive.
- Sent lists recent SMS with Send again and Stop link.
Send by SMS on the booth (the SMS button) needs only White label, SMS on and credits; it links to the photo's online link if it has one, else to a copy kept online for 7 days. Email on the booth needs only White label and email set up, with ZeroCapture mail or your own email server. Neither needs a ZeroCapture Cloud subscription, and both work with QR sharing off too.
Choose Off (the default), ZeroCapture mail or Own email server.
- ZeroCapture mail sends from photos@zerocapturestudio.com in your business's name, with a link to the photo kept online for 7 days. It needs a free ZeroCapture account, no subscription, and allows up to 1,000 emails a month. Set a Reply-to address for replies.
- Own email server sends through your SMTP server with the photo attached. Fill in Server host, Port, Security, User name, Password, Sender name and Sender address.
- Business name fills {brand} in the messages.
- Subject and Message start filled in with ready-made wording. Use the default puts it back.
- Send a test checks it works. The counts, Retry now and Send log show what was sent.
When it's ready the section says Ready. The email field is on the phone page.
